GOLF MK 6 LAUNCH 15.01.09ARTHUR PRINCE VOLKSWAGENLOUGHBOROUGH, LEICESTERSHIRE.The MK6 Golf was unveiled on Thursday 15th January at Arthur Prince Volkswagen to an audience of over 150 people, including quite a gathering of club members. The evening started with all the cars in the showroom covered over with silk sheets and to some background music and introduction a brief introduction to each model coincided with the relevant unveiling of each model. The Mk1 loaned by Simon McNamara was a 1983 Lhasa Green GTi.
The Mk2 loaned by Ray Partner was a 1990 Tornado Red GTi 16V. The Mk3 loaned by club members Malcolm and Christine Gibbons was a 1997 Dragon Green GTi The Mk4 loaned by Membership Secretary, Sarah Dytham was a 1999 Futura Yellow 1.8T GTi The Mk5 was provided by Arthur Prince and was a silver Anniversary GTi. The line up was completed by the unveiling of the New Generation Mk6.
